LIVING(room) YOGA

Have you just started with yoga? Or thinking about taking the first step? Or you want to strenghten the basis of your practice? Great! Come to experience the yoga fundamentals class. Or you are an experienced yogi willin to enrich your practise?

Now you have a wonderful opportunity to embark on a wonderful journey of mindful yoga practice in a intimate setting of a small class (4-5 people maximum) taking place in our livingroom:). The small number of participants and my rich experience of teaching yoga will guarantee you a solid and safe basis of your yoga practice.We close the class by deep guided relaxation with the sonunds of Koshi Chimes and a cup of a good tea:)

16.6.2017: Yoga for Stress Relief

This workshop is designed to be a nurturing, relaxing and refreshing mini-retreat from our daily worries and routines. We will explore the different body-mind techniques which will lead us to the better connection to ourselves, deeper insights into our lives and easier letting go of things which don't serve us any more: stress, fatigue, self-destroying tendencies, negative thinking...
 
The yoga session - balanced combination of gentle movement, bodily poses, breath and body-mind awareness - will give us a frame to practice self-perception in the present moment. Thanks to Sarka's therapeutic approach to the yoga we will adjust to the positions to meet our current disposition and specific needs. During the sessions we might be also able to observe how much we allow ourselves to think 'out of the box' (and learned movement patterns) and prioritize of our current needs.
 
Some of the asanas, which we will experience together might be despite its simplicity more challenging, and they might reflect how we tend to experience discomfort or difficult situations in our mind and our emotions.
However, we will mainly focus on the positions, which might be called "anti-stress" asanas. These can be practiced afterwards also separately as a first-aid for acute stress during our daily life. Our yoga sessions will always end with deep relaxation accompanied by harmonizing sounds of wind chimes Koshi.

 

 

9.7. 2017: Lunar Yin Yoga

20:30-22:30h; The two hours’ workshop will allow us to experience the rather yin side of yoga practice – receptive, meditative and cooling.Noticing the effects of the different aspects of the yoga practice on our body and mind.
We´ll start our exploratory yoga journey by tuning into our breath and natural, intuitive movement of the body, slowly building up and practicing theMoon Salutation Asana Sequence. Like Sun Salutations, Moon Salutations can be included as part of a longer class, or practiced by themselves as a restorative sequence to cool and soothe the body. They are especially nice to do in the evening as the meditative, calming quality of the poses helps to form a stronger connection to the breath, preparing the body and the mind for a restful night’s sleep. This series also engages the imagination and activate our inner force - you can actually feel connected with the cycles in the nature, with the cycles within us.

In the second part of the workshop we will sink deeper into the yin side of the yoga practice. Each posture will be held for relatively long period of time (2 to 5 minutes) to encourage the slow and safe opening of connective tissues. Yin practice can be experienced as quite challenging due to the time postures are held, but the release of stiffness is not only on physical level, but allows also space for emotional cleansing. Other benefits are the experience of deep relaxation, peaceful mind and renewal of the life force.Yin yoga is a great complement to the more dynamic yoga styles (vinyasa, ashtanga...), active sports or a hectic lifestyle.

The workshop will be closed by deep guided relaxation with the Koshi sound.

SPECIAL WORKSHOP IN LOTUS YOGA, TEL AVIV: YIN YOGA AND FLYING DRAGON

Come to experience the yin and yang side of yoga practice, to balance the two polarities within us.
 
The Flying Dragon Asana Sequence is a playful, energizing yoga asana series, which is in the tradition of Paul Grilley, the „father“ of yin yoga, a beautiful yang opening for more meditative yin practice.
 
The most of yin asanas are seated or reclining positions to enable us to work deep, positively affecting the connective tissues. Yin yoga is a great complement to the more dynamic yoga styles (vinyasa, ashtanga...), active sports or a hectic lifestyle.
 
The workshop will be closed by deep guided relaxation with the Koshi sound.
 
Suitable for all levels of practitioners, the variations will be provided to fit everyone´s current needs and dispositions.
